Henry Samson, 89, passed away Tuesday, November 16, 2010. He was the husband of the late Blanche (Charron) Samson, who passed away three days ago. They were happily married for 65 years. Born in Providence he was the son of the late Almanzor and Isabelle (Gendreau) Samson.

Mr. Samson served in the U.S. Army Air Corp. during WWII and was an Architectural Draftsman working for Rhode Island Hospital for many years, retiring in 1986.

He is survived by a son, Leonard Samson and his wife Mary; a daughter, Denise Walton and her husband Charles. He also leaves a granddaughter Kristina. He was the brother of the late Yvette Ryder, Louis Samson and Yvonne Lafreniere.

The funeral for Mr. and Mrs. Samson will be held Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 9am from the HOEY-ARPIN-WILLIAMS-KING Funeral Home, 168 Academy Avenue, Providence, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 901 Atwells Avenue, Providence. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Saint Ann Cemetery, Cranston. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours TODAY, Wednesday 5-8PM.
