Carroll E. Proulx

Carroll E. Proulx, 86, of Julian Street, passed away Friday, February 5, 2010. He was the husband of Rita (Delude) Proulx. Born in Pawtucket he was the son of the late Eugene and Anna (Carroll) Proulx.

Mr. Proulx was a CPL in the Army Air Force during WWII where he earned a Good Conduct Medal, WWII Victory Medal, American Campaign Medal, European Theater Medal with two Bronze Stars and an Honorable Service Button.

He also received a “Special Diplome” from the French Government.

He worked for Vista Wall in Lincoln for 34 years retiring in 1985 and was a member of the Iron Workers Local where he was the former Shop Steward.

Besides his wife he is survived by a daughter Janet Kelsall and her husband John of Burrillville; a son Paul Proulx and his wife Robin of Pawtucket; four grandchildren, Rachel and Nicholas Fuller, Christopher Proulx and Edward Fuller Jr. and seven great grandchildren, Aidan Donahue, Nadia Fuller, Edward Fuller III, Nicholas Fuller Jr., Ryann and Lana Fuller and Corbin Proulx. He was also the brother of the late Thelma Champagne, Evelyn Tetreault and Rheal Proulx.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 9am from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Theresa Church, 18 Baltic Street, South Attleboro. Burial with Military Honors will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, Pawtucket. Visiting hours Wednesday 4-7pm.
