Robert D. Palmer Sr., 77 of Woodside Avenue passed away August 5, 2008 at Coventry Health Center. He was the husband of the late Rita (Joyce) Palmer. Born in New Jersey, he was the son of the late Robert and Lucy (Brennan) Palmer. Mr. Palmer was a Korean War Veteran. He was a truck driver for many years before retiring and a retired member of Teamsters Local 251. He is survived by one daughter, Deborah Nelson of Pawtucket, two sons, Robert D. Palmer Jr. of Rehoboth, MA and Wayne Palmer of Pawtucket, seven grandchildren, and one great-grandson, three brothers, Michael Palmer of Rumford, Leo Palmer of Tennessee and James Palmer of Colorado, one sister Lillian Sweeney of Rumford.
