Mary E. (McPhillips) Mularz, 83, of Pawtucket, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family Tuesday, September 23, 2008 at the Little Sisters of the Poor, Jeanne Jugan Home, Pawtucket.
Born in Providence, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (Wilde) McPhillips.
Mrs. Mularz was a lace worker in the Textile Industry for several years, retiring in 1992. She had also worked as a CNA and a volunteer at the Jeanne Jugan Home, and was also a friendly visitor.
She is survived by a son, John Mularz, her twin daughters, Edna Arundale and Mary Ann Arundale, three sisters, Anna Bricault, Dolores Bonetti, and Sister Mary Agnes, LSP, two brothers, Edward and William McPhillips, nine grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. She was the mother of the late Claudia Donnelly. She was the sister of the late Catherine Surowiec, Patricia Caron, Joseph and John McPhillips.
The funeral will be held Friday at 9am from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Leo The Great Church, 697 Central Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Saint Francis Cemetery, Pawtucket. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Thursday 5-8pm.
