Jacqueline Rita (Plante) Cunningham, 69, of Pawtucket passed away on November 19, 2008 at Golden Crest Nursing Home in North Providence. She was the wife of Charles T. Cunningham. They were happily married for 48 years.

Born in Pawtucket, she was the daughter of the late Alfred and Aldea (Gobeil) Plante. She resided in Pawtucket her entire life.

She was a graduate of St. Joseph's Hospital X-Ray Technician Program and was employed for many years as an X-Ray Technician. In her spare time she loved to read, talk, shop and brag about the light of her life, her grandchildren. She was a communicant of St. Cecilia's Church, Pawtucket.

She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend. Her life was dedicated to her family. Jackie was a gentle soul who traveled life's journey, and faced its challenges, with love, grace, dignity, humor, courage and strength.

Besides her husband, she is survived by two sons, Steven C. Cunningham and Patrick K. Cunningham, daughter-in-law Ann (Michalczyk) Cunningham and grandchildren Kayla Ann, Kyle Ian, and Kathryn Patricia Cunningham. She is also survived by two sisters, Helen Bartlett of Pawtucket and Janet DePetrillo of Johnston. She was also the sister of the late Pauline Mulligan.

The funeral will be held Saturday at 9am from the COSTIGAN-O'NEILL Funeral Home, 220 Cottage Street, Pawtucket, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 10am in Saint Cecilia Church, Central Avenue, Pawtucket. Burial will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Cumberland. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Friday 5-8pm. In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice Care of RI, 169 George Street, Pawtucket, RI, 02860, would be appreciated.
