Dorraine L. (Blanchette) Coia, 72, of South Attleboro formerly of Pawtucket passed away Sunday after a courageous 3 ½ year battle with ALS. She was the wife of the late Richard Coia, they were happily married for 49 years. Born in Pawtucket she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Aline (LaFlamme) Blanchette.

Mrs. Coia worked for the former Quebecor Printing USA in Providence for 16 years before retiring in 1998. She enjoyed swimming, walking, reading, golfing, was an avid Red Sox and Patriots fan and was a great friend to everyone's life she touched.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Hudon; two sons Dennis Coia and Robert Coia; five grandsons; two sisters, Joanne Quinn and Marlene Cook and many nieces and nephews. She was also the sister of the late Dennis Blanchette.

The funeral will be held Thursday, July 29, 2010 at 10am from the O'NEILL Funeral Home, 3102 Mendon Road, Cumberland, with a Mass of Christian Burial at 11am in Saint Theresa Church, 18 Baltic Street, Attleboro, MA. Relatives and friends are invited. Visiting hours Wednesday 5-8. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers donations to Compassionate Care ALSINC, P.O. Box 1052, W. Falmouth, MA 02574, would be appreciated.
